A Letter to Katherine

Dear Grandmom,

Now that your gone, I can sleep at night knowing your in a better place. Knowing that your  No longer suffering. Your mind is just as young and youthful as I remember. Grandmom the summer I spent with you Im not going to lie where the worse I cried everyday wanting to go home, but you wouldnt let us , but I never regret the time we spent together. Being in the country wasnt my twist but you loved evey single bit of it. The wide open spaces and the miles and miles of land that surround us was your zen. The food that you cook I remember the smell like it was yesterday fried apples, beacon and cheese eggs, I'm getting hungry thinking about it. The songs you use to sing us in the morning "Good morning mr.dippy dip your hair look shorter than mine, Good morning Mr.Dippy dip you sure are looking fine." I though it was the cheesey song but it made your day singing it to us. At night we would watch a hour of t.v and you were very pointy about what we watch "Thats to Worldly".The way you would float across the floor with smooth dance move and the laugh that made everyone else laugh (I can hear it in my head now).Every sunday at the hall, saturday going  door to door.  BUt when it was time to leave I use to soo glad went it was time for me to go but I knew I would miss you like crazy and that it would be long that I would see you again. You kiss us on th cheeks and hug and aswe  pull out the gate you would wave and say see ya next summer. At that time I was pleading not to go back but it was going in one ear and out the other from your son. I remember that time we went to florida with Aunt Michelle  and the boys and it rained and rained. I was soo excited that I though I had the chance to go to Disney World. But it was miscommucation talking about you dont like walking around the part and you boldly stood up and said I never said that.My dreams were crush but being with you made it memberable. Another summer later would be the last I seen you at your best minus the few visits and your mind started fading. You didnt remember who I was or my dad and it hurted us to see you like that. We was everbody else but who we really were. I knew time was going to draw near but I never knew you would last a lot longer than you did that was God on yourside. Now your gone my mind and your mind is at easy. I know the family is greving but I know we are going to be ok . Tell Grandpop Winslow I said Hey and my brother Randy, Uncle Peewee, Aunt beebee  my nephew and any of the other clan  Watch other them grandmom cuz i know they need a strong women like you leading them. But for now im going to wait until the day i see you and again kiss you on the cheek and say grandmom another summer again with you
